It's been ages since I blogged last, and even longer since I did one that was light-hearted, but the good news is that I'm just back from a holiday feeling much refreshed. We went to a small Scottish island called Islay. The weather was awful, but I was with a bunch of great friends and we had a good time, especially when we were sampling the products from some of the island's eight whisky distilleries.

So what have I been up to? Well, amongst my usual activities, which include running Heroes, saving the world and helping little old ladies across the street, I've discovered this rather fun little game called Tiny Empires (TE). It runs on a HUD, and basically you buy acres of (virtual) land, which earn you gold (alas, also virtual), which you then use to buy more land. You report to someone who is called your liege, and in turn you can take other people as your subjects. The more acres you have, the higher your ranking. I am now a princess in the Kingdom of Home, though thanks to the benevolence of the king, my title is not Princess but Superheroine! There are lots of little sub-quests and puzzles to solve, and most kingdoms have their own group, so you get to meet lots of other people. If you fancy having a go and would like a superheroine liege, drop me a line!

We've also been planing a big event at Heroes. It's our first birthday later this month, so expect a big party and lots of hero-related giveaways!
